LAB specializes in Conversational English classes. We provide an active and engaging environment where students can get comfortable speaking English and learn to communicate effectively and with ease.

With LAB’s focus on conversation and our “English only” policy, students are provided lots of opportunities to practice English and to keep improving even outside of the classrooms while socializing with other international students.

LAB’s wide variety of English courses and programs enables students to focus on their areas of interest and overcome their weaknesses. At our English school, students have the flexibility to change their programs weekly.

Flexible Friday classes, fun and interesting activitie

LAB Vancouver's acclaimed FREE Friday Activities enables students to use English in everyday situations. The outdoor program helps students use English beyond the school environment and in their daily life. This practical approach enhances the learning process and builds confidence. Every week (except Monthly Graduation Days), students can choose from six to eight different activities planned for the week and join without paying extra fees. These activities include sightseeing tours around Vancouver, hiking in nature, cultural experiences and sports events.

Among the many options are sightseeing tours, sports, cooking, and cultural experiences! There are NO EXTRA FEES to join these activities!

LAB Campus

LAB is an English school specially designed to create a unique, friendly atmosphere that supports learning and fun. Classes use modern audiovisual equipment such as flat-screen TVs, MP3 Players, laptop computers, and projectors. The friendly front-desk staff is always available for counseling, school and city information, and visa assistance.

LAB is located in dynamic Yaletown, the newest and trendiest district of downtown Vancouver. In addition to being close to the Vancouver Public Library, bus stops and other central conveniences, our English school is located just a few minutes’ walking distance from Yaletown station, providing direct skytrain access to and from Vancouver International Airport.

We are located on the corner of Nelson Street and Cambie Street in downtown Vancouver.

This course allows students to improve their reading skills and grammar accuracy in both spoken and written English.

In this class, a wide variety of reading texts are studied in detail. The diversity in content exposes students to a broad range of vocabulary and grammar, as well as literary forms.

Students practice reading comprehension and analyze relationships between words as they practice using new vocabulary in different contexts.
