Introduction
This International Graduate Program is designed for candidates willing to pursue their further professional careers in the cutting-edge area of Data Science. The students will acquire in-depth knowledge of the mathematical foundations of Data Mining and Numerical Optimization underpinning Machine Learning and Knowledge Extraction Theories and Techniques, as well as an overview of the Technical Architectures supporting High-Performance Distributed Data Processing and Computation.
The program is jointly delivered by the Mathematics and the Computer Science Departments of Mines Nancy. Such a blend ensures an outstanding level in both domains. The curriculum includes research work which is done at the Institut Élie Cartan de Lorraine and LORIA Research Laboratory in Computer Science conducting world-class research in these areas.
The program's curriculum comprises courses that are fully run in English and 6-month internships either at the research lab or in the company, depending on the students' projects.
