Course in Bookkeeping and Accounting - Short Programme in Financial Reporting and Regulatory Frameworks (ICB)
Upon successful completion of the short programme, learners will receive an ICB Results Letter in Financial Reporting and Regulatory Frameworks. Only once all four short programmes have been successfully completed will the ICB apply to FASSET on the learner’s behalf for the National Diploma: Financial Accounting qualification to be awarded. Learner results will be recorded on the ICB National Learner Records Database within 3 months of completion.
- ONLY learners who have successfully completed all the components of the National Diploma: Technical Financial Accounting, SAQA ID 36213, NQF Level 5, Credits 251, are allowed access to register for this programme.
- It is highly recommended that this Short Programme be registered together with Short Programme in Accounting Theory and Practice as these use the same material and the latter is actually the research component of the former.
The programme duration is 48 hours and the tuition is face-to-face. This excludes time to complete assignments, research and self-study. Each Damelin campus has a different tuition schedule. Programmes are offered during the week, in the evenings, or on Saturdays.
The purpose of this programme is to enable the learner to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Financial Accounting in respect of the regulatory framework. On completion of this programme, learners would have acquired knowledge of the key areas of Financial Accounting, Information Systems in business, and Regulatory Frameworks (including International Financial Reporting Standards).
