Introduction
What's the Business and Human Resource Management Foundation Degree (FdA) course about?
This course is designed for students wanting to pursue a career in human resource management. The programme provides challenging, comprehensive learning experiences and develops students intellectual, communication and practical abilities.
All students are expected to undertake work experience in both years of the course where they investigate a chosen topic and practice skills developed on the course. The course is classroom based (aside from the work experience element) and is delivered full time over two days by subject and industry specialist staff.
The course is assessed throughout the year. Tasks are based around industry scenarios and are practical in many of the modules. Some assessments also include elements of self and peer group assessments.
What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?
Students completing the foundation degree will have the opportunity to top-up their qualification to the BA (Honours) Degree in Business Administration (with pathways) at Manchester Metropolitan University. Students can apply through UCAS for other top-up degree programmes at other Universities. Alternatively, graduates will be prepared for further study to professional business related qualifications such as CIPD.
Other students have gained employment in a related field.
