Introduction
Allen's associate degree in criminal justice prepares students to transition to an academy or transfer to a university by providing foundational learning in criminal justice and related social sciences. With a criminal justice degree, students' career goals may focus on becoming a police officer or private security officer or focusing on law enforcement and corrections.
The degree track is a sequence of recommended criminal justice and general education courses designed to meet most degree requirements for the first two years of study for criminal justice programs at Kansas Board of Regents universities. Graduation with this degree, or incremental completion with an online law enforcement certificate, helps to assure that transition.
